I created the card below for the Simon Says Stamp Summer Vacation: Kids Challenge </span><a href="http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/summer-vacation-kids-challenge/"><span style="font-size: large;">Anything Goes with Glitter</span></a><span style="font-size: large;">. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">I drew my card design and then colored it with the Prismacolor pencils I bought with my savings and used a glue pen to add glitter to the word in the speech bubble on the front that says "HEY".</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-K_DvHfLWML0/V6FekUwikvI/AAAAAAAAEaU/OB0O9MiNStQXvwUzRJiQ5gMvZQab_dZnACLcB/s1600/image2%2B%25281%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-K_DvHfLWML0/V6FekUwikvI/AAAAAAAAEaU/OB0O9MiNStQXvwUzRJiQ5gMvZQab_dZnACLcB/s640/image2%2B%25281%2529.JPG" width="497" /></a></div>

<span style="font-size: large;">I love this <a href="http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/kraftbaggiftcard/">Kraft Bag Gift Card holder tutorial on SCS</a>--super easy to put together and looks great.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-95Y18ZEEaMk/VtIEyjz97UI/AAAAAAAAEaE/UyPoTMN305M/s1600/up-close-of-flower.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="476" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-95Y18ZEEaMk/VtIEyjz97UI/AAAAAAAAEaE/UyPoTMN305M/s640/up-close-of-flower.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I colored the bloom from <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=140658">Birthday Blooms</a> with copic markers and went over the entire image with a clear wink of stella pen--it's tough to get a good picture of the shimmer on this flower but you can see a little more of it in the next photo. I also rubbed a bit of gold ink in the center of the flower.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wQXk94bRWhQ/VtIExYFMQFI/AAAAAAAAEZ8/sB08L3ZvTKE/s1600/main-front.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="316" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wQXk94bRWhQ/VtIExYFMQFI/AAAAAAAAEZ8/sB08L3ZvTKE/s400/main-front.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I stamped a sentiment from Banner Banter on to a couple of tiny banners I made with the triple banner punch--best punch ever, seriously.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-iWYKlwXHUxo/VtIExeuNPEI/AAAAAAAAEaI/l88MAT33sp4/s1600/main-inside-card.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="327" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-iWYKlwXHUxo/VtIExeuNPEI/AAAAAAAAEaI/l88MAT33sp4/s400/main-inside-card.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">I used a couple of skinny strips of pattern paper from <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=140557">Birthday Bouquet</a> and gold card stock to dress up the card portion of the project.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Jwhdsjb4MBE/VtIExnDheAI/AAAAAAAAEaI/VmSPYPXdjJ4/s1600/gift-card-insert.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="367" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Jwhdsjb4MBE/VtIExnDheAI/AAAAAAAAEaI/VmSPYPXdjJ4/s400/gift-card-insert.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">I chose to omit the flags on each pull out piece because I felt the inserts were easy enough to grab and pull out. I also used my MFT <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/die-namics-gift-card-grooves">gift card grooves</a> die for the gift card portion instead of putting flags on an actual gift card and tucking it in.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!</span></div>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>

<span style="font-size: large;">I'll admit I am a bit obsessed with <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/searchresults.aspx">this flower stamp</a>. </span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZumvjfPyZKw/Vrt9PRD7oGI/AAAAAAAAEZg/jHgVpyd_e5I/s1600/Bloom-friends.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZumvjfPyZKw/Vrt9PRD7oGI/AAAAAAAAEZg/jHgVpyd_e5I/s640/Bloom-friends.jpg" width="540" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"> I embossed with clear embossing powder on watercolor paper. I watercolored with distress inks--picked raspberry and spiced marmalade go together well and look like watermelon wonder to me. The card base is Watermelon Wonder and I stamped the Brushstrokes background stamp diagonally in WW ink. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">You can't see the watercolor detail well in the main photo, so here is a close up of the flower. I went over the watercolor with a clear wink of stella pen.</span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1U8XZclZjMg/Vrt9u8fxMLI/AAAAAAAAEZk/w6KfD3vNmC0/s1600/bloom-friend-close-up.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1U8XZclZjMg/Vrt9u8fxMLI/AAAAAAAAEZk/w6KfD3vNmC0/s640/bloom-friend-close-up.jpg" width="638" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">Do you hear this card screaming for sequins? :) I do! Unfortunately, I don't have a good sequin color in my stash to use on this card so I will have to add some once my sequin order arrives.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-XKHHjtu_wSY/VraGg5xmGwI/AAAAAAAAEZA/nPUSG9VecQo/s1600/smile.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-XKHHjtu_wSY/VraGg5xmGwI/AAAAAAAAEZA/nPUSG9VecQo/s640/smile.jpg" width="584" /></a></div>
<div style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;">
<span style="font-size: large;">I created this clean, simple card for<a href="http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/2016/02/team-intro-project-favorites.html"> Papertrey Ink's 9th anniversary challenge-Day 1</a>. Stamp sets used are Turning a New Leaf w/ coordinating dies, Notched Flower Dies and Funky Florals stamp set. Funky Florals is a limited edition set PTI offered in 2012. </span></div>
<div style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;">
<span style="font-size: large;">I used my MISTI to line up the stamps on the die cut--MISTI makes this process so much easier for me and has made me lift my ban on purchasing stamps with tiny die cuts.</span></div>
<div style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;">
<span style="font-size: large;">I chose the color combo of lemon tart, simply chartreuse, hibiscus burst and Raspberry Fizz because the colors are lovely.</span></div>
<div style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;">

<span style="font-size: large;">I used the small flower from <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=140658">Birthday Blooms</a> and <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=140557">Birthday Bouquet pattern paper</a>. <span style="font-size: large;">I was on the fence about <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=140658">this stamp set</a> (I'm not a good colorist and i'm impatient) but couldn't stop thinking about that big, gorgeous flower. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9onqVMsQkbU/VrFFctMMxEI/AAAAAAAAEYg/vRcw7_8w7EY/s1600/happiest-of-birthdays.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9onqVMsQkbU/VrFFctMMxEI/AAAAAAAAEYg/vRcw7_8w7EY/s640/happiest-of-birthdays.jpg" width="564" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I used my MISTI --save all your pennies and GET A MISTI-- to stamp the flower in black ink, color it with copics and re-stamp in Versamark ink and emboss it in white. You can see a little bit of the black under the white embossing which gives a nice shadow effect. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">I am participating today in <a href="http://www.thedailymarker.com/2016/02/day-1-shading-w-distress-ink/">The Daily Marker 30 day coloring challenge. </a></span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">This year's card is as simple as my usual Christmas cards turn out, but this year, I cranked them out even faster. My secret...Silhouette Cameo and MISTI. </span></div>
<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sfWN6jWRk0Q/VnSZtdeoUwI/AAAAAAAAEYQ/w0G0nRx9d2Q/s1600/christmas-card-2015.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sfWN6jWRk0Q/VnSZtdeoUwI/AAAAAAAAEYQ/w0G0nRx9d2Q/s640/christmas-card-2015.jpg" width="640" /></a><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">I used the tree and star from <a href="https://www.etsy.com/listing/258353340/christmas-tree-favor-box?ref=shop_home_feat_3">this cut file</a> and created a card front in my Cameo software and was able to cut out 5 at a time from 8.5 x 11 card stock. I rounded the bottom corners and adhered a piece of glitter paper on the back. The MISTI allowed me to assembly line stamp each card front perfectly-I still ask myself how I lived without the MISTI. The background stamp is a large newsprint background (Impression Obsession, maybe?) that I stamped tone on tone. </span></div>

<span style="font-size: large;">Hold the phones, I actually finished a card. Woot! I'm sure there are others out there like me, working full time to feed kids and support a craft habit. Too bad the job gets in the way of craft time. </span></div>

<span style="font-size: large;">I loved all the cards I saw with this gorgeous flower stamp from SU called <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=139575#">You've Got This</a> and had to get it. The inspiration for the coloring came from * i think * Simon Says Stamp. I saw a coloring page (?) and a sample already colored and it was such a gorgeous blue. If I find it, I will link it.</span></div>

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">I made this smartphone shaker birthday card for my niece. I pulled a selfie of her from her Facebook page and sized it in Photoshop to fit the inside of the phone die </span>(smart phone die set is from My Favorite Things)<span style="font-size: large;">. It took me awhile to make the shaker portion due to the sides of the smartphone die being thin, but it worked out in the end.</span><span style="font-size: large;"> What you can't see in the photo is that the Cool speech bubble is glittery--I used my clear wink of stella pen on it. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">I stamped the inside with a sentiment from Hero Arts. It's a bright, fun, personalized card for a teen.</span></div>

So many color combinations for this stamp set! I used Crumb Cake card stock and stamped the image in Baked Brown Sugar ink (retired). You can substitute Crumb Cake ink for Baked Brown Sugar. </span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="text-align: center;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="text-align: center;">I went with <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=126983">Calypso Coral ink</a> (stamped off for the base and stamped full color for the inside details) and gold, which is a lovely combination.</span></span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">My daughter had a sleepover for her 14th birthday party and I made these super simple and quick party favors for her friends to take home. I'm all about simple and quick these days. I cut the handle out of chevron embossed cardstock with my Silhouette Cameo.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"> I found the cardstock at Michaels and love it so much I bought it in several colors and designs.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-VmN2Hg-E5w4/VTJ2B57DNaI/AAAAAAAAENw/pTjxv2jigA8/s1600/party-favor-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-VmN2Hg-E5w4/VTJ2B57DNaI/AAAAAAAAENw/pTjxv2jigA8/s1600/party-favor-1.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KAAb9HKSw3Q/VTJ2EJoqvhI/AAAAAAAAEN4/zx4IfTvVuF0/s1600/party-favor-2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KAAb9HKSw3Q/VTJ2EJoqvhI/AAAAAAAAEN4/zx4IfTvVuF0/s1600/party-favor-2.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">I bought the small sacks at Hobby Lobby and cut the length down to 5" so the bags end up being roughly 3.5 x 5. which is a great size for party favor bags--not too big and not too small.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<span style="font-size: large;">I've been digging around challenge blogs trying to find something to spark some creativity of any kind and decided to try the new sketch at </span><a href="http://www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com/2015/02/freshly-made-sketches-174-sketch-by.html"><span style="font-size: large;">Freshly Made Sketches.</span></a></div>

<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I haven't been stamping much the last few months, sort of took a break from it. I've had the urge to scrapbook for awhile and have been focusing on that. I have several 12x12 albums that I filled a few years ago when my kids were smaller and basically abandoned it when I discovered stamping. We love pulling out those albums occasionally and looking through them and it makes me sad that I stopped adding to the collection. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So, while I can't go back to traditional scrapbooking like the old days, I can scrapbook digitally with Photoshop and on my iphone. If you follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed I have been posting my digital Project Life pages and am <strong>slightly obsessed with scrapbooking on my phone!</strong></span> </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The Project Life App is the perfect way for me to scrapbook my camera roll photos on my phone and capture those everyday moments. <br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"> Poor lighting this evening (I've got to get another lamp!), but I was able to capture some of the gold shimmer on the butterfly. I die cut a white butterfly and sprayed it with gold shimmer spray- it's a lovely look in person.</span></div>
<span style="font-size: large;"></span><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">This Beautiful Butterflies (<a href="http://www.papertreyink.com/">Papertrey Ink</a>) stamp set and coordinating die set is, for lack of a better word, beautiful! </span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">Is this a bright card or what? :) I love this Mama Elephant set called </span><a href="http://mamaelephant.com/collections/stamps/products/we-click"><span style="font-size: large;">We Click.</span></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"></span> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"> Pulled out my neglected Copics to color the camera. I'm in such a watercolor frenzy right now I tried to watercolor it on regular cardstock--I laid down some ink with my copic marker and promptly grab a water color brush and tried to move that ink around...it did not work out so I had to start over. :)</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">I took some liberties with the sketch but I still think you can see the <a href="http://seizethesketch.blogspot.com/2014/05/seize-sketch-20-some-changes.html">sketch in</a> there. </span></div>

<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">Actually, this homework should be for days 3 and 4 and the work I posted previously for days 3 and 4 should go in days 5 and 6. Sigh. I goofed, but I'm going to straighten it out.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"> </span><span style="font-size: large;">I made this super simple thank you card for my daughter to give to a friend and used my go to layout. I stamped the images from <a href="http://www.wplus9.com/fresh-cut-florals/">Fresh Cut Florals (Wplus9</a>) in Distress Inks/markers and softened them with a small round watercolor brush and water (of course!) </span></div>

<span style="font-size: large;">Here's my homework <a href="http://www.onlinecardclasses.com/">for class</a> <strike>days 3 and 4 </strike> 5 and 6. <span style="font-size: small;">Actually, this work fits days 5 and 6 and I re-did my work for days 3 and 4</span>. Pretty messy attempt and I totally used a butterfly painting I found on Pinterest as inspiration for this card. Practice makes perfect and this was fun so I'll be practicing. :) </span><span style="color: red; font-size: small;">**Let me add that I wanted the coloring to be a bit messy, I just wanted a more controlled mess. <div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"></span> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">I added a tiny amount of faux stitching to the sentiment panel because I thought it needed a little something added and as a bonus, I get to enter this card in the current <a href="http://virginiasviewchallenge.blogspot.ca/2014/05/virginias-view-challenge-3.html">Virginia's View Challenge: Stitching.</a></span> </div>

<span style="font-size: large;"></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WzU4ik8ccZw/U2ugUhS3ViI/AAAAAAAAEII/BcKTH62PLZY/s1600/WC_participant.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WzU4ik8ccZw/U2ugUhS3ViI/AAAAAAAAEII/BcKTH62PLZY/s1600/WC_participant.png" /></a></div>
<span style="font-size: large;"></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Here's my homework for Days 1 and 2:</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WkTpnK2s8BM/U2ufxL6CLvI/AAAAAAAAEIA/K2jFD5BsVBI/s1600/watercolor-class-day-1-and-2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WkTpnK2s8BM/U2ufxL6CLvI/AAAAAAAAEIA/K2jFD5BsVBI/s1600/watercolor-class-day-1-and-2.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I had to take a pic with my iphone. My daughter has taken off with my SD card for my camera.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I used my $5 watercolor set to make this funky background, added some stamped images and boom, it's done. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> I kept this card very simple and plan to give it to my husband for taking care of me, the kids, the dog and our house while I am recovering from an injury that has left me unable to handle all the things I normally handle. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"></span><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-x14H17L7iWI/UxXwoBw24PI/AAAAAAAAEHE/z51Xr19B-7Q/s1600/watercolor.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-x14H17L7iWI/UxXwoBw24PI/AAAAAAAAEHE/z51Xr19B-7Q/s1600/watercolor.jpg" /></a></div>
<span style="font-size: large;">Since I've been playing around with watercolors for a week, I decided to play in the <a href="http://virginiasviewchallenge.blogspot.ca/2014/03/virginias-view-challenge-1.html">first Virginia's View challenge</a> and since the card is sort of one layer (it's flat), I'm linking this up to </span><a href="http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/2014/03/make-it-monday-154-color-and-texture-tips-for-one-layer-cards.html"><span style="font-size: large;">Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday #154.</span></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-jUdOrX1-OrM/UxX1OPauYQI/AAAAAAAAEHk/4v0_qPzBqTU/s1600/virginias+view+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-jUdOrX1-OrM/UxX1OPauYQI/AAAAAAAAEHk/4v0_qPzBqTU/s1600/virginias+view+1.jpg" height="400" width="333" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span id="goog_1761283672"><span style="font-size: large;">I could not capture the glittery accents on this card in a normal shot, so I included a close up of one of the leaves. </span><a href="http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/2014/03/make-it-monday-154-color-and-texture-tips-for-one-layer-cards.html"><span style="font-size: large;">Like Erin Lincoln did in the MIM video</span></a><span style="font-size: large;">, I stamped the sentiment and then embossed over it with clear embossing powder.</span></span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-zif6ZqMd-yA/UxXxxmA8VXI/AAAAAAAAEHQ/YaaJmJzpBWE/s1600/detail-shot-of-glitter.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-zif6ZqMd-yA/UxXxxmA8VXI/AAAAAAAAEHQ/YaaJmJzpBWE/s1600/detail-shot-of-glitter.jpg" height="351" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">I used my watercolors to ink up my stamp--I had to do this a few times to get vibrant color--then smudged it after it dried a bit before I added some glitter with my Wink of Stella glitter brush. I used regular, white cardstock and this technique worked well.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><strong>Speaking of watercolors</strong>...I use a cheap, $5 set of watercolors I found at Michael's and an old brush I've had forever. I do have a couple of inexpensive watercolor brushes that are smaller. You don't need expensive supplies to watercolor is my point. I do have watercolor paper and like to use the thickest I can find.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-size: large;">Baby cards are few and far between for me. So few, in fact, that I don't have a baby stamp set--if I do have one, I don't remember it. </span><span style="font-size: large;">Most of my friends had kids back when I purchased cards.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"></span><br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">I needed a baby boy card that didn't require me to purchase a stamp, so I turned to Pinterest, of course! I saw several of these cute little dresser cards so I chose to make one. </span></div>
<span style="font-size: large;"></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0-oQnOe9664/UxUGEemDYWI/AAAAAAAAEG0/1Aq1KetNh3c/s1600/baby-dresser.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0-oQnOe9664/UxUGEemDYWI/AAAAAAAAEG0/1Aq1KetNh3c/s1600/baby-dresser.jpg" /></a></div>
<span style="font-size: large;"></span><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">I used 2 cut files from the silhouette store for the baby sleeper and the hanger. The card itself is super easy to make using a nestability to cut out the bottom portion of the card and simply cutting strips of cardstock for the drawers and subtly rounding the corners--I used a 1/4" corner rounder on my Crop-o-dile corner chomper. The top of the dresser is simply a strip of cardstock scored in the middle and folded over the top. </span><span style="font-size: large;">I had to gold emboss some clear gems for the drawer knobs. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"></span> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">Super easy project but it looks so impressive. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"></span> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!</span></div>

<span style="font-size: large;">I love the water color look but it's so hard for me to do...I'm 100% sure I'm overthinking the process. I gave it a go for this week's </span><a href="http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/2014/02/make-it-monday-153-watercolored-backgrounds-with-heat-embossed-sentiments.html"><span style="font-size: large;">Make it Monday</span></a><span style="font-size: large;"> to water color a background and heat emboss a sentiment. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;"> Please forgive the less than stellar photo, my lighting is terrible this evening.</span></div>

<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">I wanted to add more detail to this card but the background turned out so pretty I didn't want to take away from it. This is the 3rd panel I water colored...the first 2 are hideous. LOL</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"></span> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">Thanks for dropping by my poor, neglected blog!</span></div>
