Autumn Splendor coming your way...

Tommorrow a set of autumn digital images by Wild Flower Kids will be available in the Stamp Happens Shop.  You have got to see how cute these images are and I am in love with little Bramble!

For a sneek peek, check out Senior Design Team members Jen, Tonya, Beth and Julie.

Check back tomorrow for my project and see what the rest of the Stamp Sistahs created.

SG6 Halloween Style

It's time for another sketch from Sketch Girl.  This is an easy one and I'll give you the measurements I used on this card to make it even easier for you.

I pulled out my Ghoul Friends set  and got to work.  I wanted this to look like a picture in a frame so I cut out the middle of the scallop rectangle instead of layering the image on top.  You can see the effect better in person.  I also took my Versamark Dazzle pad in champagne and smushed it over the frame to give it some, well, dazzle.   I finished it off with some brown twine I got at my LSS and voila!  SG6 is done and it was really quick.  I forgot to take a picture of the inside, but it says Happy Halloween.

Here are the measurements:

Cardstock is 4.25 x 5.5
Pattern Paper is 3.25  x 5.5
Green strip is .5 x 4
Orange strip is 1 x 4

Check out what the other Sketch Girls made with this sketch and don't forgot to visit our Guest Designer, Amber.

End of the road...

This is my final post as a member of the Creative Clear Stamps Design Team.  The new Design Team starts October 1st and I hope you'll check them out.  Time got away from me this month, so here are my last 2 projects for September.  I used sentiment singles for both cards--  I'm Your Friend and Sending Love. I also used some really, really old SU! pattern paper that I found in my stash.  I can't remember the name but I still like it.

Gotta run but thanks for stopping by and I hope you are having a great day!

Cardstock by Papertrey Ink.  Pattern paper from SU!  Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, SU Choc Chip.  PTI Ribbon and Melon Berry Button.

Say Hello to Halloween Henry!

Halloween Henry isn't just for Halloween.  There are a few sentiments in the set that could be used other times of the year and I'm crazy enough to use this set all year round. Think about it...if you got a card like this out of the blue, wouldn't it make you smile? Wouldn't you have a Fangtastic day?  It never hurts to shake things up every now and then, so go ahead and get wild.  Send someone a vampire birthday card even if their birthday is on the 4th of July.   It also makes this set versatile as you can use it anytime of the year.

You have to see what the design team has made and check out all 3 sets that are releasing today.   StampInsantiy rubber stamps are available exclusively through the Stamp Happens Shop

Have a Fangtastic Day!

Birthday set & Would you like to win some stamps??

I was thinking of birthday ideas and decided to make a card with a coordinating tag.  It would be nice to have several sets like this on hand to make it easy when you need them.  One day, when I have more time I plan on doing just that. I used the set Sassy Happy Birthday from Creative Clear Stamps on both projects.

Make a card and win some stamps! Sketch Girl is giving away 5 Sentiment Singles from Creative Clear Stamps.  Check out the Sketch Girl blog for all the details. Hurry, the contest ends around midnight on September 29th!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful afternoon!

Supplies:  October afternoon cherry Hill pattern paper, Fiskars star punch, Spellbinder's tag die, SU spiral punch, Kraft cardstock from PTI. Celery ribbon from SU. Button is from PTI in berry sorbet.

Coloring Pages

A HUGE Happy Birthday to Alyssa!  Run over and wish her a Happy 29th birthday!

This is my last project for KLM Designs as a member of the Design Team.  My term is up this month and I have nothing but praise for the KLM gals.  Just because my design team term is over doesn't mean this will be my last project using KLM images.

Anytime my oldest daughter saw me working on a KLM project she always asked me if she could have my printed image.  I always said, "No, I need this one but I will print you out one of your own."  She loves KLM's images so I decided to make her a travel size coloring book.  I printed several KLM Images to fit on a 4x4 piece of white cardstock and put a coaster on the back so she would have a sturdy surface.  I thought this would be a wonderful activity to take along.  I intentionally left the front plain because Elizabeth likes to decorate things to her liking.  The font I used is called Print Clearly Dashed and I'm pretty sure I got it from dafont.com.  The 2 pages I'm showing you are from the September release, Americana Apple and Apple Globe.

Thank you for stopping by!  Have a wonderful Day!

Fandom Friday

This project is not something you normally see on my blog. I usually worship the TwilightTuesday.com challenges from afar and the reason why is that I'm intimidated by the work the extremely talented Twilight Tuesday ladies display. Basically I feel like an amateur and am too chicken to play. Ok, so I still feel chicken but I'm going to post it anyway. Sorry, my insecurites are showing.

Today is something new on the Twilight Tuesday site, it's the first ever Fandom Friday. You can read all the challenge details here. The challenge is book 1 of The Black Dagger Brotherhood series called....Dark Lover. Angela and Cele, I thought of you guys when I saw today's challenge because this is the book I bought when we went to the mall for the Archiver's trip in Kentucky. Ya know, Daaaark Lovah.

Anyway, I spent most of the morning digging around on the computer looking for inspiration photos. It was so hard to look through all those pictures of handsome men to find someone who represented Wrath to me. Poor me. :) I made an 8x8 digital scrapbook page that I plan on printing and putting in a scrapbook. I thought a scrapbook of fan art would be something cool to own or maybe I'm just a big nerd and am just now realizing this...

To give you some idea about Wrath, he's the last purebred vampire on the planet and the unascended king of his race. Wrath is a warrior first and a king last. He doesn't want to sit idly on the throne and do nothing but be adored while his people are being hunted. He meets Beth and, well, love brings complications. Wrath is forced to open his eyes, so to speak, and take his rightful place as king. I've given you a simplified synopsis of this book and hope you might pick it up one day and find out what all the fuss is about.

I've been thinking all day about what makes this series so appealing. I can't put my finger on one specific thing, it all just works for me. I remember looking around online at book reviews because I was trying to find some new authors to try and JR Ward kept coming up, so I set out to find the first book, Dark Lover. To me, each book in this series was better than the one before and made the series as a whole even more addicting.

I've blathered enough, so I'll leave you now and wish you a fabulous weekend!

Wildflower Kids Halloween

Are you ready for some Halloween stuff? I am, but then I'm always ready for Halloween! Today is the official release of Wildflower Kids Rubber Stamps! I was lucky to receive the new set Ghoul Friends to design with and I love it! See the set in full here at the Stamp Happens Shop.

I call this guy Little Edward and he actually comes with a body, a couple of friends and some sentiments. I colored him with Copics on Kraft Cardstock and then made him shimmer with some Sky Blue Shimmerz--I wanted him to sparkle a bit. Eddie looks a bit green in the photo...perhaps he's sampled too much candy already. I used MOJO Sketch 104. I love circles and I love this sketch. You'll probably see it again.
I embossed the bat using Zing Embossing Powder in Black (Glitter Finish) and added it to break up the white in the big circle. These sets are only available in the Stamp Happens Shop and are high quality, deeply etched red rubber mounted on cling foam.

Don't forget to check out what the rest of the design team has scared up for you with this set and the other new release today called Broom Rides.

Jen has a blog candy giveaway so run over there for a chance to win one of these new sets. You have to see what she's giving away! GO HERE.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

A heads up...

**2 posts today--scroll down for Sketch Girl card**

Tomorrow, September 16th, is the premiere release of Wildflower Kids Stamps available exclusively through the Stamp Happens Shop. These are really, really cute rubber stamps and you can see a peek if you run over and visit Tonya , Jen and Beth.

The other designers and myself will have stuff to show you tomorrow. See you then!

Sketch Girl SG5

It's time for the 5th Sketch Girl sketch. You can see the sketch here. This one was easy for me compared to SG4. I went with a color combo of PTI Enchanted Evening, Kraft, Spring Rain and SU's Groovy Guava. Button is PTI Melon Berry and , along with the sentiment, was part of an awesome stash of stuff Alyssa sent me.

Sentiment says: To the world you may be one person but to one person you may be the world.

Check out what the other Sketch Girls have made with this sketch:

It's Monday for sure

How do I know it's Monday? Well, I got up late and had to rush around getting the kids off to school--I was dreaming I had to be at a meeting at midnight and no matter what I did I couldn't get anywhere. In one part of the dream I jumped in the car to drive only to realize I was in the backseat. I have weird dreams all the time...one included a Bombshell Stamps store in the mall and a naked, dancing, Tony Danza. Tony looked really good by the way, I can still picture all those muscles and that golden skin... I'll stop there as my blog needs to stay G or PG. Anyway, I had to jog the kids to school and they barely made it on time. Hubby was even late getting out the door. I HATE being late --it stresses me out worse than anything else! I just noticed that my youngest daughter's lunch is still sitting in the kitchen, so I'll have to run it down to the school before lunch. *sigh* I have a busy day and have to get going but wanted to share some stuff before I head out the door.
I've been playing around with my PTI set, Everyday Button Bits. This is a must have set. It's kind of funny that I've hardly used buttons with this set as intended. I love using punches with it.

This card uses a sentiment from Sassy Happy Birthday from Creative Clear Stamps. This is one of my favorite birthday sets. Laura has a big announcement today over on the Creative Clear Stamps blog. So check over there later to see what's going on.I finally used a button! Alert the media! Sorry for the fuzzy photo, I didn't realize it was a bit blurred until I was editing it and by that time I was just too lazy to re-do it. I think it's clear enough to get the idea. This button came from a Bag of Buttons by the paper studio and some of the buttons already had some bling stuck in them. This is the large bird from Everyday Button Bits.

I'm off and running but will be back tomorrow with the latest sketch from Sketch Girl. I'd give you a peek, but I haven't actually made the card yet. I know, BAD Sketch Girl! Don't flog me, I've been busier than usual. If you want some peeks, check out the other Sketch Girls. Their links are on my left sidebar.
Thanks and have a great Monday!

StampInsanity release!

Today is the day that StampInsanity stamps are available! The premiere release includes 2 stamp sets, Meet Henry & Morgan and Otherworldly Loves. All you Twilight and True Blood lovers out there are going to flip for Otherworldly Loves.

First, meet Henry...
I have such a hard time with cards for boys and Henry will be my go-to guy. I decided to make a simple birthday card for my stash. You'll love Morgan too, she's a stamper!

For all you Twilight Team Jacob lovers...
Otherworldly Loves contains text images for the Twilight and True Blood fan. I'm not saying I'm Team Jacob--I'm really a Team Edward girl, but I have an appreciation for the hunky werewolf.

StampInsanity stamps are deeply etched, red rubber stamps on cushion cling mount and are available exclusively through the Stamp Happens Shop. Today is the official release, so all the Stamp Sistahs will have projects posted on their blogs. Check them out...

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge 16

I wasn't going to do this challenge because the colors don't really inspire me. I'm sure Dawn McVey will come up with something fresh and brilliant and I'll eat my words. I decided to do it because I wasn't immediately inspired so that makes this a true challenge for me. I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but I'm not brilliant all the time. LOL
I'll definitely use this layout again, but I'm not sure about the color combo. I'm curious to see what the other participants, and Dawn McVey herself, create with this combo.
Hurry over to the Creative Clear Stamps blog for the new Design Team call. The call ends September 15th and don't worry, you don't have to use their stamp sets to enter but it's always nice!
