CFC128: So Long

Wow, it's hard to believe this is my last post for CAS-ual Fridays.  It's been a year since I joined the team and time certainly flies when you are having fun.

I feel so incredibly blessed that Michele allowed me to be a part of CAS-ual Fridays and that I got to rub elbows with such  an insanely talented design team.

This challenge is appropriately titled...So Long.

Show us your long clean and simple goodbye/farewell projects.
My card size is 3.5 x 6

The sentiment on my card says it all.  Saying goodbye is so hard and I'm a huge crybaby.

I can't wait to see your creations for this challenge.  Link them up on the CAS-ual Fridays challenge blog and you may win the prize from our fabulous sponsor:

We've got a fun challenge for you this round... Use blocks of color on your CAS project.

Ok, so my card design is a little funky.  It's bold, bright and I like the colors--it's wild and crazy with a super fun sentiment.  I also adore that fabulous button.

Let's see your New Years projects!

Since the New Year starts with a countdown, let's count the minutes it takes to complete your project.  If you can do it in 10 minutes or less, you can play at 10 Minute Craft Dash too!

This super simple card took me:

Whew, barely made it!  I had to use my Silhouette and had some issues cutting the numbers...all my fault, the Silhouette is fabulous.

This challenge lasts for 2 weeks so you have gobs of time to play.  Link your clean and simple New Year themed project at the CAS-ual Fridays blog for a chance to win a prize from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps!  WOOT!

Let it snow...

Another week has flown by too fast. But, hey, it's Friday and that makes me super happy.

www.cas-ualfridays.blogspot.com

The challenge this week is to use snowflakes or snow of some kind on your clean and simple project.

I chose to make a small bag which would be cute to hold a few baked goods.  I used the new Bundled Up paper from Crate Paper--love it! The large snowflake is from a Spellbinder's die set and I used some glitter embossing powder on it. If you are a local, you can see this project in person at Scrappin' in the City!

Check out what the rest of the design team made for this challenge here

I hope you are inspired to accept the challenge this week for a chance to win a prize from our fabulous sponsor!

CFC 122: Out on a limb

Click for more inspiration!
Happy Friday!

This week you are challenged to create a clean and simple project that contains a tree or trees!  It's the perfect time of year to bust out your tree stamps.

I used my favorite Christmas Tree die (Papertrey Ink) to make this card.  I die cut the tree from copy paper and used it as a template to stamp the tree with my Hero Arts Stamp your Story stamp set I bought months ago and have never, ever used!  I can't remember the name of the stamp set but it's the one with the brushstrokes and paint splats.  I finished the card off with some snowflakes and sentiment from a Paper Smooches set.

CAS-ual Fridays has team up with Curtain Call to bring you a CAS-ual Christmas!

Your challenge is to create a clean and simple project using the Curtain Call inspiration picture.  You can enter your project in both challenges.

Isn't that sentiment gorgeous?  I love it and it's extra lovely embossed in gold.    The sentiment and the tree topper came from the Christmas Carols stamp set from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps...our sponsor this week!

CFC 119: Embossing

www.cas-ualfridays.blogspot.com
Click me for more inspiration!

This week's challenge is to emboss--dry or heat--and it's a 2 week challenge so you have tons of time to play!

I chose to heat emboss a die cut.  I smashed a versamark pad onto a piece of white cardstock, heat embossed it with silver embossing powder and then die cut my word...super simple!

The background of my card is a piece of pattern paper that I airbrushed with copics using a stencil--it was actually in my reject pile from another project and I'm happy I was able to use it because it turned out so pretty.

We have an awesome sponsor this challenge:

Thanks for stopping by and I can hardly wait to see all the embossed CAS projects!

Tags & Bags!

Click me!

Happy Friday!

This week's challenge is to create a CAS bag with a tag.

I used a the new Funky Round Tag Fri-Dies from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps (our sponsor this week!).  I have wanted a circle tag die for quite some time so I'm thrilled to have this one and I know I'll get lots of use out of this die set.

Ok, so let's talk about my tag.  I was going for a pumpkin dressed up as a bat for Halloween.  I had a horrible time with the eyes and the mouth.  I ended up letting my 9 year old choose the eyes because she said the eyes I had were too creepy. I tackled that mouth on my own...so, my pumpkin/bat looks a bit aggressive. LOL  I love it though!  It's a bit startling when you first look at it but it grows on you. It's a vampire bat. LOL

I went with faux stitching on my card because  a)I like the look and b) I didn't want to dig out my sewing machine and set it up.

Back to school

click here to see fabulous inspiration from the design team!

This week you are challenged to create a clean and simple project back to school style!  My kids went back to school a month ago--summer went by too fast this year!

I went old school and decorated a composition book.  Composition books come in many cool patterns these days and I chose this diamond pattern--the days of mod podge-ing pattern paper over the front are gone!  I added a few pieces of cardstock, cut out my daughter's initial and had an instant back to school journal.  My kid is a notebook freak and was super happy to receive this book.

Click here to see what the rest of the design team made for this challenge!

We've got a fun challenge for you today...create a clean and simple feminine card using kraft and text!

I made a card/gift box combo.  It's been forever since I've made a cute little box of some sort.  I used my own Cute Carton template design to make what I call a faux milk carton--I designed it so it resembles a little milk carton but you skip all those score lines!

Go here to get the PDF of this template. Please read my terms of use here.
