Case'd myself and a Fall-ish card (it's still Fall ya'll!)

This is a card I made for a birthday girl a couple of weeks ago.  I used a digi image from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I love this image and know I'll use it often.  I was in a hurry and since I always have scraps hanging about, I case'd my Funky Christmas card layout. The card base is Rustic White from Papertrey Ink and I adore this color and find it hard to use regular white now.

I wanted to play with my new Copic colors, so I colored this image from my Papertrey Ink set Autumn Abundance.  I couldn't let the image go to waste, so I had to make a card with it.  I used some pattern paper from Cosmo Cricket and paired it with some PTI Terracotta Tile and Melon Berry. This was a quick little card to put together and the size is 4.25 x 4.25.

I'll have some Christmas stuff this week, so check back!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Home Made House

I jumped on the latest template from Papertrey Ink and the coordinating stamp set as soon as they became available.  I love this little house template and there are so many ways to decorate it.  I used some pattern paper from Fancy Pants to decorate my house and coordinating card.  I also used some glitter from Pink Paislee to bling up the roof and dormers.  Those dormers were a bit of a booger to do but so worth it.  I couldn't find my detail scissors so cutting out the windows didn't go as smoothly as I wanted, but overall, I like how this turned out. Ribbon is melon Mambo from SU.

There's a sale this weekend in the Stamp Happens Shop...even on Copics.

Have a great weekend!

Happy Turkey day!

I thought I would post the turkey card I made for my SIL since it's Thanksgiving and all.  My refrigerator stopped working and I had just bought a million pounds of butter and cream cheese and a 20lb turkey.  This card is a thank you to her for turkey sitting. I made a cheesy sentiment inside too. (har har har)  I used the turkey digi image from Wild Flower Kids.

May you eat, drink and get a good nap in this afternoon!

Happy Thanksgiving!

A birthday wish and a project

Today is my baby's 6th birthday.  We had her party last weekend and she made sure to tell people that it wasn't really her birthday yet, it was just her party.  So when someone said Happy Birthday, she corrected them by saying, "Happy Birthday party." She's says the funniest things.  She has yoga at school on Mondays and yesterday as we were walking home, she said she felt "fresh" and "re-born". I'm thinking that came from yoga class. LOL

Now on to a project. Since I have a cute stamp set for boy stuff (No Girls Allowed) I thought I would make my nephew a door knob hanger for his new room.  I used pattern paper by Cosmo Cricket that Harriet gave me.  It turned out to be the perfect blend of colors. I made this little guy blond like my nephew and imagine he would look a bit like this when he's older.  He's only 2 right now.

That's all from me for now.  I'll be back sometime soon with a Christmas project using Jen's super cool digi images.  I am cooking Thanksgiving dinner this year and will start baking tomorrow.  Busy times ahead.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Birthday Boy

Good Monday Morning!  I am exhausted from a weekend of birthday parties and seeing New Moon. I would love to be a slug all day but my house is destroyed--it looks like Christmas went off in here!

On to why I'm here...Jen has released 2 super cute stamp sets today called Pretty in Pink and No Girls Allowed through the Stamp Happens Shop.   I got the privilege of working with No Girls Allowed and made this cute, but simple birthday card using some really old SU pattern paper I found in my stash.  I colored him with copics and tried to give his clothes a faded, worn out look.  I have a young nephew and I'm happy to have this set to make things for him.

The design team has done it again and made some gorgeous projects and I hope you'll check them out:

Thank you for visiting and I hope you have a fantastic Monday!

Let's get hoppin' New Moon Style!

Welcome! I hope you are enjoying yourself on this fabulous New Moon blog hop. The hop starts and ends at the Twilight Tuesday website and that's also where you can see the full list of participants.

I cannot wait to see this movie!  We have a busy weekend, so I probably won't get to see the film for a few days (ugh, I know!) but it helps that I can participate in this blog hop today and see all sorts of cool Twilight fan art.

I went with an 8x8 digi scrapbook page.  I kept it simple (that's really all I know how to do anyway!) and feel like the quote is the star of the page.  New Moon is when we all get to know and love Jacob.  He is a great guy and I remember thinking how stupid Bella was for not jumping on that. LOL! Tall (well, in the book anyway), dark and handsome. YUM!  He's a friend when Bella needs one the most and I enjoyed the tension this little love triangle brought to the series.  Isn't New Moon when all of us divided into teams?..Team Jacob, Team Edward and Team Switzerland.

I also made this (freaky?) Andy Warhol inspired Jacob notecard.  It's kind of neat looking in person.  I had the idea for it and then didn't know what else to do with it, so...it's a notecard!

My 8yo daughter, Elizabeth, decided at the last moment to participate in this blog hop and while she's not on the official roster, I hope you will take a moment and visit her blog and see the card she made.  It makes her day when she gets a comment on her blog.

Next on the New Moon blog hop tour is Jeri Moody. So hop on over and give Jeri some comment love. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Because I don't have anything else to do...NOT

Thanks to Jennie for giving me a blog award!  It comes with a quiz and I noticed Jennie and I both love Panera bread and are bad with Facebook--I knew you had excellent taste!  Here goes...

1. Where is your cell phone? I'm not sure, I can't keep up with it.  It might be in my car.
2. Your hair? dark

3. Your mother? crazy

4. Your father? deceased
5. Your fave food? spaghetti followed by pizza.  Love the italian food.

6. Your dream last night? My kids wouldn't go to bed, so I started taking candy away from them until they settled down.  They were sleeping with bowls of candy.  I have strange dreams often. LOL

7. Your fave drink? Vanilla Latte followed by Dr. Pepper

8. Your dream/goal? To be proficient in Photoshop Elements and make really cool things with it.

9. What room are you in? craft room/office

10. Your hobby? Papercrafts, reading, used to be cooking but I've gotten lazy and a bit too chubby. :)

11. Your fear? Something bad happening to my kids, but I think that's a standard fear for a parent.  Otherwise, I fear drowning.

12. Where do you want to be in 6 years? Happy and hopefully not very wrinkled.

13. Where you were last night? Home

14. Something that you aren’t? neat

15. Muffins? Pumpkin Cheescake
16. Wish List Item? Where do I start? Uh...books, Papertrey Ink stuff, fancy espresso machine, I could go on and on.
17. Where did you grow up? Clinton, TN

18. Last thing you did? That's a bit private, so I'll say...photographing and editing my SG9 card.

19. What are you wearing? my standard attire of dark jeans (the only pair I can stand because I am not a jeans person), black t-shirt and black hoodie.

20. Your TV? normally it's off most of the time.  Lately, I've been watching it during the day because we have all the premium movie channels until February. Yes, I watch dirty movies all day while the kids are in school.

21. Your Pets? saucy wench of a dog named Stella.  She's a feisty redhead. She used to be feisty, she's 10 years old now and sleeps most of the day.

22. Friends? Happy with those I have

23. Your Life? the busiest it's ever been and possibly the happiest I've ever been

24. Your Mood? hungry and slightly agitated (I'm out of apples, see #33)

25. Missing Someone? I'm missing my Tues. night stamping buddies and my waistline.  Darn Halloween candy!

26. Vehicle? Honda Odyssey which is a fabulous vehicle but when I'm driving I pretend it's not a mini-van.  It's something really cool and I'm really cool just by driving it.  Oh, and I'm young and smokin' hot in this fantasy too.

27. Something you are not wearing?  Underwear.  Just kidding, I only go commando when I haven't kept up the laundry. LOL  Anyway, something I'm not wearing is makeup.  I don't wear makeup everyday.  I do not like to feel makeup on my face and I don't like to feel lipstick either.  For those of you like me who don't like foundation but want to even out your skin tone a bit, use Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer.  It's a tinted moisturizer and I love it!  Also, Clinique's almost lipstick is wonderful to give you some color without feeling heavy.  Ok, makeup lesson over.  I do wear make up but if I'm not going anywhere but grocery shopping, etc. I just skip the makeup.

28. Your fave store? Target followed by Williams Sonoma

29. Your fave color? Green

30. Last time you laughed? When I checked my bank balance--it was crazy, hysterical, slightly maniacle laughter.

31. Last time you cried? When I checked my bank balance.  My husband will cry when he gets the credit card statement.  I will be hiding.

32. Your best friend? HusbandI can completely be myself with him because after 14 years together he already knows I'm a weirdo.  I think it might be a turn on for him.

33. One place that I go to over and over? grocery store.  It's a necessary evil.  I have an apple addiction and need to eat at least 1 apple a day.  Sometimes I eat 2 and have been known to eat 3.  See?  I'm a weirdo.

34. One person who emails regularly? Harriet and Alyssa (who needs to e-mail me more often :)  miss you girl!)

35. Fave place to eat?  Definitely love going to Panera Bread.  YUM!

36. Facebook? Yes, but I forget about it.  I'm not good with My Space either

I am passing this award on to a few people because I want to see their answers to the quiz.

Alyssa
Harriet
Angela
Wanda
Eve

Thanks for dropping by!  I've got some things to do (buy apples, blog hop, add my fav blog link list to my blog, etc.) and will see ya later!

Funky Christmas card

I've been really busy the last few days re-decorating my 8yo daughter's room and had to stop and take a stamp break this afternoon.  I wanted to make a funky Christmas card and used some digi images (tree and sentiment) from Wild Flower Kids.  The text background is a .pdf that I'm pretty sure came from Mel Stampz blog but I'm not positive. It's Christmas dictionary text and I printed it on rustic white cardstock.  I used more of the Basic Gray Eskimo Kisses paper with a card base of PTI Sweet Blush.  My 6yo chose the button.
Short and sweet tonight, I've got some paint brushes to clean.  Painting is such a pain but the clean up is even worse!  Have a good one!

Merry Christmas, You sweet thing!

Today is the day! The newest releases from StampInsanity stamps are available.  This is Morgan all dressed up in her santa suit.  Isn't she a sassy little thing!?!  I used a couple of strips of some Basic Gray that Harriet gave me.  I think it's from the Eskimo Kisses line.  I pulled out my neglected bottle of Icicle Stickles and used it to bling up Morgan's fur accents.

You can see all 3 new rubber stamp releases here.  Don't forget to check out the rest of the design team--these are some talented ladies!

Thanks for dropping by and have a wonderful day!

This & That notepad

I made this for my youngest daughter's teacher for Halloween.  I know it's not ghoulish but I was in the mood to make a notepad and figured she would prefer a non-Halloween design.

This is also my entry in the Moxie Fab Plum challenge.  I used all Papertrey Products in Plum Pudding and a bit of Lavender Moon. I love the new Take Note stamp set!  (So sorry for the crummy photo.)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
