Sketch Girl SG11

Today gives us the latest sketch challenge from Sketch Girl.  Sponsor this sketch is Perfect Presentation and you could win a free template by playing along.  Go to the Sketch Girl blog and link your creation for your chance to win.

Here's my take on the sketch.  I stamped the circle elements on some already rustic/distressed looking October Afternoon text pattern paper and popped the main panel up so it would stand out.  I couldn't make a rustic card without twine so I wrapped it around the main panel.

Don't forget to see what the other Sketch Girls have done with this sketch along with our Guest Designer, Laurel.

What can you do with a box?

You could package up some assorted gifts...

Squared (cube, rectangle and cube one sheet version)

Give a friend a cupcake...

Hey Cupcake with cupcake insert
The top of this box does not need ribbon to stay closed, I added it for decoration only.

How about some handmade cards, stationery or whatever you can fit in here...

It's a Keeper with 3x3 note holder

Or how about a Cute Carton full of goodies..

Cute Carton (large version and small one sheet version)
Reminds me of the small milk cartons you get in school.
.

All these templates are available today in The Wild Flower Patch Shop with dimensions and additional information.  For you Silhouette and Cricut users with SCAL, I'll have versions for your cutters very soon (GSD & SVG). I'm almost finished with those file types and will get them in the store.

Those of you without electronic cutters, make sure you choose the PDF version of the template.

Don't forget to visit the Perfect Presentation design team:

Chris Olsen is showing Cute Carton.
and
Harriet Hensley is joining us this round and showing It's a Keeper.

Have a wonderful Friday!

Greeting Farm CHA relay

I am participating in The Greeting Farm's CHA relay this week and since they are getting so much activity on their website, it keeps crashing.  So, here's my card for today using Wild Sprout Charlottte.  She's funky and I love her!  I went with a clean and simple card (might be too clean and simple upon reflection) and I wanted Charlotte to shine since she's all blinged out.

I used new paper from Bo Bunny--I am smitten with the new stuff from Bo Bunny. It's all gorgeous.

Here's my card using yesterday's image Mer-Ian.  I uploaded him to the TGF gallery yesterday to comply with the relay rules and thought I'd show him here too.  I like elements of this card but overall...it's ok.  I am really not good when I try to put a bunch of layers on a card.  It got me through to the next round though and he's cute.  I made the circular text in Adobe Illustrator and printed it and then cut it with my circle nestabilities.

It's called Hey, Cupcake and I'll have more info on release day along with samples from the design team. I was able to cut this one with my Cricut, so you SCAL users will be happy!  I hope you will check back soon!

It's Monday and I've got some Papertrey cards to show you

I double checked and it is for sure Monday.  I have been known to lose track of what day it is if there is any deviation in our school/work schedule. I showed up with my daughter at her girl scout meeting one time and was surprised that we were the first to arrive and after sitting there for 10 minutes or so wondering if the meeting had been cancelled, I realized it was Wednesday and the meeting is on Thursday. I get all confused. LOL

It's feast or famine on my blog these days and right now we're feasting.

I used Papertrey Ink sets Quilter's Sampler and Everyday Button Bits.  The Butterflies are courtest of my MS butterfly punch which I ran through my zyron sticker maker and glittered them.

I'll have more to show you this week and I have 4 new templates I'm finishing up.  Lots of good stuff ahead!  Thanks for stopping by!

Vampires need love too!

I've been a stamping maniac lately and have several things to show you and thought I'd share this one first.  I created this card for the Stamp Happens sketch challenge.  The prize is the new Zeke & Maddie stamp set from StampInsanity stamps.  You can see the challenge info HERE.  Anyway, you don't have to use a StampInsanity image, but I have some so I thought I'd give it a whirl.

I  pulled out my Halloween Henry set since Vampires are hot all year round.  This set has sentiments in it that are not specific to Halloween and that's what I love about it!  You can see the set HERE.  The challenge wasn't just a sketch it also has a theme, which is love.

Here's the inside of the card.

The top sentiment comes from the Halloween Henry set and the Happy Valentine's Day is from Stampin' Up.

Speaking of sketch challenges...Have you made your Sketch Girl entry yet???

Sketch Girl SG10

Sketch Girl is back from a nice, long vacation with a sketch #10 drawn by our very own Sketch Girl, Julie. Julie has taken on the task of being my partner in Sketch Girl and I am so thankful to have her!  Without further blabbering, here's my take on the sketch:

I used a SU set called Happiness Always that I got for Christmas from my stamping buddy, Allie.  I thought I'd use one of my new templates (Bag it Up) to make a little gift ensemble.  Pattern paper is Daisy D's and it's been hanging around for awhile and I figured I better use it.  The card and box base are SU's Basic Gray but it looks a little black in the pictures.

I hope you will play along with us on this sketch and make sure you link your creation on the Sketch Girl blog and you may be the winner of a template of your choice from Perfect Presentation!  We also have a new member to the design team, Amber Goble.  You may remember Amber from last fall when she won the guest designer spot.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the design team:

Bag it Up and Dress it Up (I like using Up in titles!)

Good morning!  I've got 2 new templates that are available in the Wild Flower Patch Shop.  First, let me present Bag it Up... This version of Bag it Up (the template file comes with 2 versions) has cut out handles and an optional window for the front of the box.  I chose to not cut out the window and since the printed lines are on the inside, it doesn't show.  This box is made with my old favorite SU In Color, Cool Caribbean--Thanks Mary Ann for giving me this stash of it!  I used my new digi image from Wild Flower Kids, her name is Violet and she's a doll!  I blinged her out with some stickles but it's not showing up so well.  In person, she sparkles!

Here's a sample of what the non-handle version looks like.  I used Violet again except she's not blinged out with stickles.

Are you ready to Dress it Up?

Dress it Up is a fantastic way to give a little something while making a big impression.  You get 4 template files in this set plus decorative mats for all sizes!  Here's what you get:

Small Heart shaped bodice
Large Heart shaped bodice

Small rounded top bodice
Large rounded top bodice

Decorative mat templates for all 4 to make decorating your dress easy!

This is an excellent favor for many occasions!  The small size fits on one sheet of 8.5 x 11 cardstock and the large size uses 2 sheets.

Want to see some other ideas using these templates?

Check out the Perfect Presentation Design Team:

Thank you for stopping by and putting up with my super long post!  I'll be back tomorrow with my Sketch Girl sketch card.  Have a wonderful day!

Papertrey valentine cards

Last year, I bought PTI's My Punny Valentine set and have barely used it.  I used it to decorate my Favor Box (no, I haven't changed the name yet) and decided to make a card similar to it.  Instead of stamping the body and cutting it out, I used a small circle scallop nestabilitie and topped it with liquid applique.  I also added some glitter strips to the pattern paper just to give it bling.  I'm really into glitter right now.  Pattern paper is from My Mind's Eye.

While I had the set out, I thought I'd see how some 3x3 one layer valentines would look and made 3 versions.  I added some glitter on the side, 'cause like I said I am really into glitter right now.  These would be cute for lunchbox/back pack notes or a little something for the man in your life.  Just a small note every now and then to make someone you love happy.  I occasionally stick a small card in my husband's car so he sees it when he heads off to work.

I'm outta here for now but I'll be back with posts tomorrow and Friday!  Thanks and have a great day!

Problem fixed

If you attempted to purchase a template and couldn't, it's all fixed now.  It wouldn't be natural if everything went smooth the first time, right?!  Thank you!

Perfect Presentation News!

Big, Big news today!  My templates are now available for instant download with purchase in the Wild Flower Patch Shop. Yes, I am falling over with excitement!  I currently have 3 templates available in the shop(you can see them on my sidebar) and have another 3 template designs almost ready for you!

All my templates are print, cut and score (no measuring!) and come with cutting measurements and/or a mat template to help you decorate your template with ease, instructions with photos to help you not only with assembly, but with adhesive placement as well.

I'm so excited to be part of the Wild Flower Patch shop, which is also the home to the Wild Flower Kids line of rubber and digi stamps, and I hope you'll run over there and check it out!

Sketch Girl is also gearing up for sketch 10 on January 15th and will be sponsored by Perfect Presentation.  We will also have a guest designer for January too!

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you soon!

My Little Bag is ready!

Good evening! I normally don't spend my Saturday nights blogging, but tonight is an exception.  My 3rd print, cut and score template is ready!   I showed you some pics in my last post, but here's a shot of another one with the bonus gift card insert.  This little bag is about 4.25 inches wide and 3.75 inches tall. The template purchase includes the bag template, written instructions with photos to help you with adhesive placement and decorative mat templates for the front flap and the side panels.  I've also included measurements for the front and back panels.

Isn't this a cute way to present a gift?  You don't have to use the gift card insert, but if you do and want to throw some candy or something in the bag with it, you don't have to worry about the gift card or cash getting lost in there.  This template is available on my sidebar.

I do have some advice for you...if you are going to use the gift card insert, put it inside  before you put the bag together.  This will help ensure that you get it on straight and at the right height.

I have also tried a few ways to keep the flap closed and the little round velcro things you see in the photo are by far the best.  I'm pretty sure I got them at JoAnn's but I bet they are available anywhere that sells sewing supplies.  I got them in the sewing section  and  I don't have the original packaging to tell you the name, but here's a shot of the strip.

My Cricut will be here soon and I'll get right on .svg files for my templates and I'm working on instant downloads with purchase too.

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Happy New Year (and a new template peek)!

Just popping in to say Happy New Year and to show you peek of another template I'm working on.  This one is called My Little Bag and was named by my 8yo daughter, Elizabeth.  This template requires a couple of tweaks and then it will be up and ready to go!

This is a neat little bag and I was thrilled to be able to use my Pretty in Pink stamp set from Wild Flower Kids to decorate it.  I got the set not long before my Wii injury and it was torture not being able to ink it up!

I'll be back with more info on this template (I have a bonus insert for this one too!) and a decision on the Name the Template thing that's going on.  I ordered a Cricut Expression that should be in my hot little hands in a few days and I will get right on the .svg files for my templates.

Thanks for your support and if you ordered a template from me, all orders are sent the day they are received, so if you haven't received your template order, e-mail me at annie21211@yahoo.com.

I promise every post won't be about templates!
