Best wishes

Very simple, fall inspired card.  I love the aqua green color mixed in with the more traditional fall colors--it freshens everything up.

I was inspired by the recent class from Online Card Classes called Insider and carried my design on to the inside.  I only used some strips of pattern paper on the inside, but in person, it's really nice and makes the card feel finished.

Supplies:

Pattern paper is from Webster's Pages.
Sketch from Deconstructed Sketch #95
Stamp set from Papertrey Ink (Fabulous Frames?? I'll have to look it up!)
Ink is Dark Chocolate (PTI) and Crisp Cantaloupe (SU)
Cardstock is Melon Berry& White (PTI), Pool Party (SU),

Don't faint...I scrapbooked!

I've had the urge to scrapbook for months and the last few days, the urge has been stronger than ever.   I scrapbooked old school...pretty paper, had pictures printed, spent way too long arranging my 3 pictures!

I've never been a fancy scrapbooker and lean toward clean and simple layouts where the photos are the star of the show.

My title is a design I purchased from the Silhouette Store that I thought was perfect for my pictures. The background paper I used is from the Chalkboard Collection by We R Memory Keepers that I got at my local scrapbook store, Scrappin' In The City--I'm on the design team for this fall along with my friend Angela! Yipee!

The yellow twine is by American Crafts and was sent to me by my friend, Alyssa.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hello Kitty card

Simple card but it took forever to make--all those small pieces were a pain to glue down.  This card is for my niece who is having her 7th birthday party today and loves Hello Kitty.

My youngest daughter chose the pattern paper and helped design the card.

The pink pattern paper and the pink scallop strip match better in person!
I found a .jpeg of Hello Kitty online and used the trace feature in my Silhouette software to turn it into a cut file.  I had to do a little cleaning up but it was pretty easy overall.  I have a co-worker who adores Hello Kitty, so I'll get to use this file again.

Have a wonderful Saturday!

Back to school

click here to see fabulous inspiration from the design team!

This week you are challenged to create a clean and simple project back to school style!  My kids went back to school a month ago--summer went by too fast this year!

I went old school and decorated a composition book.  Composition books come in many cool patterns these days and I chose this diamond pattern--the days of mod podge-ing pattern paper over the front are gone!  I added a few pieces of cardstock, cut out my daughter's initial and had an instant back to school journal.  My kid is a notebook freak and was super happy to receive this book.

Link up your project for a chance to win a gift certificate to Ellen Hutson!

Simple thanks

I've had this card hanging around the craft room for months and don't think I ever posted it.  If I did, well consider this an encore presentation. :)

The sentiment is from a Hero Arts stamp set that was in a Studio Calico monthly card kit. Pattern paper is Amy Tangerine.

Have a great day!
