Birthday Monkey

 

I've had this card hanging around my craft room for awhile and forgot to post it. 

 

No stamping on this card.  I cut the monkey with my Silhouette machine and the sentiment was computer generated.

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop..let's get tilted!

I adore the PTI blog hop theme this month!  I've made a card or two in the past that had some tilt to the design and always liked the look.  You will definitely see more from me in the future because I drew probably 6 or more sketches that had some tilt going on!

  I have no clue why I went with a purple monochromatic theme for this card but my youngest loves it! 

 This stamp set (Star Gazer Additions) is so awesome--for lack of a better word--maybe it's the sci-fi nerd in me.

I made this card for the CARDS blog April 2013 challenge.  This color combo was a challenge for me and I hope it was ok to use white with it.  I made a card with a similar layout that I'll be posting later this week.

Tuesday Trigger: Wake up Call

I haven't participated in anything over at the Moxie Fab blog in quite some time.  I could not pass up this week's Tuesday Trigger. 

I was inspired 100% by the colors in the picture.  The colored background, the yellow/white polka dots, the main word in white and I threw in some black.

CFC99 Birthday Bash!!

It's birthday time! This week is special because CAS-ual Fridays creator, Michele Gross, has an upcoming birthday and in honor of her birth, you are challenged to create a clean and simple birthday project for a shot at an awesome prize!

 

 

I went masculine with my project this week.  I'm so into man cards right now. Perhaps it's because my hubby will be turning 40 soon...

CFC 98: All that glitters

It's Friday! It's Friday!  YIPEE!

 

 

Theme: All That Glitters- use glitter, or stickles, or glittered ribbon, etc. on your CAS project 

 

 

Glitter cardstock is awesome.  I used my Silhouette machine for this card and placed some glitter cardstock behind my main panel. Super simple!

Used my new Hero Arts birthday set for the sentiment--If I could find the package I could tell you the set name.  Everything else is PTI except for the pattern paper.

I love this set from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps!  It's called Ka-Boom.  When I saw it during the latest release festivities, I knew I had to have it.  I'm thinking my hubby will get this card one day.

Flowers and Chevrons. Chevrons and Flowers.

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to incorporate chevrons and flowers into your clean and simple design.

 

I cut a cake shaped card with my Silhouette and blew the dust off my chevron dies. The flower was last week's free shape in the Silhouette store.

 

 

 The chevrons are cut from gold, shimmery cardstock--you can't see the shimmer well in the photo.
