29...again

Want to win a  Perfect Presentation template and get a head start on your Christmas creating?  Check it out.

Now on to my card...
I'm a woman of few words this rainy Monday morning.  I love the colors on this one.  I used Cosmo Cricket paper that I cut using my Cricut (Plantin Schoolbook cartridge), some twine from The Twinery and some Simply Chartreuse cardstock from PTI.  Stamp set used is Another Year by Practicing Creativity and I stamped it in SU! Old Olive ink.

Have a great day!

Papertrey Inspired

I have a small budget for purchasing crafty things and sometimes have to get creative to achieve a look I desire. I created a number collage in PSE and printed it out on  pattern paper to get a look similar to this paper.   I used the Another Year stamp set from Practicing Creativity and it's a great set to use with some big numbers and at $13 it's a great deal.  I have a Cricut, so I can't justify purchasing the PTI number dies.  I cut these big numbers with the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge and the size was set at 2-3/4".
This delicous, colorful pattern paper is from the Sweet Summertime pack from Echo Park and I snagged it yesterday at Hobby Lobby for a mere $6 (I used a 40% off coupon)!  This paper pack was not in the aisle with the other paper packs like Basic Gray, etc. it was hanging with the scrapbook paper kits.  This is an aisle I rarely go down and really lucked out yesterday.

My daughter is going to a sleepover birthday party tonight and I made this card for the birthday girl.  Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Tie Dye Birthday

I was showing my husband and oldest daughter the Enjoy the Ride stamp set last night and they started talking peace signs and tie dye.  Elizabeth mentioned tie dye and I told her she was a genius!  It took me a few tries but I finally got one right !  I simply drew the tie dye pattern with copics on the car and then added a little colorless blender solution with a cotton ball for that tie dye look--kinda of swirly and faded.

I stamped the rays from the set You're Dandy from Practicing Creativity in Enchanted Evening, Lemon Tart and Raspberry Fizz.  The circle behind the car is raspberry fizz but it looks like red in the photo.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful day!

Thank you card

I got a new set, You're Dandy,  from Practicing Creativity recently and finally made something with it.   I love the clouds and the kite and the rays in this set.  It's what sold me on it.  I could not stop thinking about those clouds and those rays and that kite! LOL   Now, I keep thinking of hot air balloons...

This card turned out a bit different than I planned, but isn't that always the case?  I didn't mean to stitch it to death and had planned on having more dimension but I accidentally sewed the blue panel to the card base and couldn't pull it up without ripping it...grrrrr...so I just went with it.  Pattern paper is from Cosmo Cricket, I'm pretty sure it is.  Harriet gave it to me so I'm not sure of the line it came from.

Oh, and if you don't already know this, Embellish Magazine has debuted and it's fabulous!  Embellish is an online publication and it is VERY well done!  I knew it would be fabulous but it exceeded my expectations.

Check back tomorrow for the latest Sketch Girl challenge!
