Let it snow...

Another week has flown by too fast. But, hey, it's Friday and that makes me super happy.

The challenge this week is to use snowflakes or snow of some kind on your clean and simple project.

I chose to make a small bag which would be cute to hold a few baked goods.  I used the new Bundled Up paper from Crate Paper--love it! The large snowflake is from a Spellbinder's die set and I used some glitter embossing powder on it. If you are a local, you can see this project in person at Scrappin' in the City!

Check out what the rest of the design team made for this challenge here

I hope you are inspired to accept the challenge this week for a chance to win a prize from our fabulous sponsor!

It's beginning to look like Christmas...

Sheesh, I don't understand why I am in Christmas mode so soon. It's just not like me. This card is another variation on the Verve Holiday Release Sketch 1 that I posted the other day. I like this card and already have the supplies cut up to make a small batch. I adore this Basic Gray Figgy Pudding paper pack. I bought it last Christmas and barely used it. I am really loving this Martha Stewart Embossed Scallop edge punch. I also bought the gingerbread man edge punch and some really cute ruffled ribbon that I hope to make something with soon.
Have a great day!

Baby, it's cold outside

Well, it's not cold here quite yet. But then it usally doesn't get super cold here anyway. My winter coat is a fleece type coat from Target and I suppose I'll have to dig out some cold weather shoes soon. I do bundle the kids up like we live in the arctic.

This card is based on Michelle Wooderson's Holiday Card Making 101 card that I saw on Nichole Heady's blog. The PTI design team made holiday cards that are good for mass production and gave detailed instructions (measurements) so you can easily re-create them. My card is basically the same layout as Michelle's but I used different colors. The sentiment is from a $1 studio G clear stamp set that I found at AC Moore today. I added a scallop border using my new Embossed Scallop edge punch by Martha Stewart. AC Moore had most of Martha's Christmas stuff out, and there were only 2 of these punches left. To even further make my day, I got to use a 50% off coupon on the punch. Yipee! The sentiment stamped in red looks better in person--it doesn't stand out like it does in the photo. Next time I will stamp it in chocolate chip. I originally planned to have more red on this card but changed my mind. I decided to just go with it. I used liquid applique for the foam.
Supplies: PTI warm happiness, Basic Gray figgy pudding dsp, PTI white, spring moss and spring moss ribbon. SU celery ink. Versamagic red ink. MS embossed scallop edge punch. Nestabilities.
