Watering Can

I made this cute watering can using the Wonderful Watering Can template from My Time Made Easy. It was actually easier to make than I expected.  I did have to re-make the spout but the 2nd try came together like I wanted. I also tied some May Arts Ivory silk ribbon around the spout to hide where it attached to the base.   I had to cut this template out by hand since my Cricut died and the replacement wasn't here yet--poor me. LOL  Luckily, my new Cricut showed up just in time for me to make the flower.

I used the metal sheets from Quickutz and embossed them with some cuttlebug folders.  I put 12 mini chocolate chip cookies inside and donated this for the school's annual baked goods auction.  They were low on baked goods, so I ran out and bought some cookie dough.   I also thought they might get more $$ if I packaged the cookies in a really nice container.  This watering can had room for the cookies, I just had to split them up into 2 - 6 cookie pkgs in order to slide them inside without damaging the top.  I also put a dozen mini cookies in this container and donated it too.  This is one time I was grateful to have a bunch of decorated templates sitting around just waiting for a use!

Thanks for stopping by!

Flutter by...

I wanted to make a card for the current Embellish challenge to use kraft, black, green and butterflies and use my new MTME All a Flutter stamp set.

I have to tell you what a nice person Lauren Meader is...I left a comment on her blog because our kids have something in common and she responded and offered to send my daughter a stress ball because it's been a help to her son.  What a lovely surprise to open the package and not only find a stress ball but find a stamp set for me and one for my daughter.  How stinkin' nice is that?  Seriously, how many people would do that?   My daughter got this cute set and has made Lauren a thank you card and it's ready to mail.  I've also been informed by my daughter that I am not allowed to use her stamp set.  Because it's her set and I don't share my sets! LOL  I do share, but it's not all the time and I'm picky about what sets the kids play with.  Come on, 95% of my stamp sets are clear and easy to lose and often stamp money is hard to come by so I take care of my stuff.  My kids are rough!  I let them go to town with my wood block stamps though--they are easy to find when they fall on the floor.;)

Ok, now on to my challenge card.  I stamped the butterflies in the new PTI Simply Chartreuse ink and when it dried it didn't look so good.  I didn't re-stamp because I actually like it for this card.  It looks distressed to me.

Sorry to post twice in one day, I don't actually like to do that but if I don't post this card now I'll forget to enter the challenge.  Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you in the morning for the Embellish blog hop!
