I have to tell you what a nice person Lauren Meader is...I left a comment on her blog because our kids have something in common and she responded and offered to send my daughter a stress ball because it's been a help to her son. What a lovely surprise to open the package and not only find a stress ball but find a stamp set for me and one for my daughter. How stinkin' nice is that? Seriously, how many people would do that? My daughter got this cute set and has made Lauren a thank you card and it's ready to mail. I've also been informed by my daughter that I am not allowed to use her stamp set. Because it's her set and I don't share my sets! LOL I do share, but it's not all the time and I'm picky about what sets the kids play with. Come on, 95% of my stamp sets are clear and easy to lose and often stamp money is hard to come by so I take care of my stuff. My kids are rough! I let them go to town with my wood block stamps though--they are easy to find when they fall on the floor.;)
Ok, now on to my challenge card. I stamped the butterflies in the new PTI Simply Chartreuse ink and when it dried it didn't look so good. I didn't re-stamp because I actually like it for this card. It looks distressed to me.
Sorry to post twice in one day, I don't actually like to do that but if I don't post this card now I'll forget to enter the challenge. Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you in the morning for the Embellish blog hop!
Stamps: MTME All a Flutter, PTI Life

Very pretty! Love those colors and all the dots!
ReplyDeletethat was so thoughtful of her! what a nice surprise for you both (-:
ReplyDeletelove your card - as always!!!
Great card! I was not liking the new color based on the ribbon I got but the ink looks cool. That was really nice of her to do that for both of you!
ReplyDeleteThis is a fabulous creation, your use of patterned paper is so amazing.
ReplyDeleteI chuckled when I read about you stamping with your kids! I learned the hard way to not use acrylic stamps with my boys, even if I'm there watching. I lost the most favorite part of my most favorite stamp set because the little guy wanted to do it by himself. I was heartbroken. It was missing for two weeks and lucky for me showed up on the back of a ribbon spool!
I can't believe you don't share with your girls! I'll tell you when you go through the alphabet, you can now know that 'M' is for Mean Mommy!! LOL just kidding! I don't even allow the Zaniac in the stamping cave!
ReplyDeleteGreat card my friend! Love the addition of the Life set! Beautiful!
We are seriously on the same wavelength here...I just wish I could step away from the book long enough to create! Then maybe you wouldn't post your creations before I had a chance to make what's in my head! :o)
A beautiful card! What a lovely surprise package too!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous, Annie!!!
ReplyDeleteoh how beautiful your butterfly card is! The color scheme is brilliant!
ReplyDeleteDuh- I forgot to tell you how much I like your card- I love the combo of patterns.
ReplyDeleteLauren is a doll. I was lucky enough to work on Craft critique for a spell with her and she is great. How generous of her to send along a stamp set for you and for your daughter.
ReplyDeleteI will say my daughter has said the same of HER stamp sets- I'm not allowed to use them unless I ask first. Like you, I am ok with her using my rubber stamps because they are easy to find. The clear ones are next to invisible!
Beautiful card! I love your take on this challenge. I totally agree with you on only sharing certain stamps with kids. But your daughter's comment regarding 'her set' was so cute!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card!
ReplyDeleteIt's so fun to look at! :)
What a great card! Love the colors and the little bit of bling!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this card!!! Such a gorgeous color combo, and I adore the way you stamped on the print and then added the butterflies! How sweet of Lauren! Thanks for sharing tht about her :)
ReplyDeleteWow, that is a really nice story to hear about Lauren. And good for you to have your daughter already have made a thank you card. I love the green and black together. And one of my favorite sets....Life! ;)
