I originally made this card for Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration challenge and ended up adding the pin because I couldn't get that twill ribbon to make a good bow. So now this card is good for the Ways to Use it challenge today on SCS too! The challenge is to layer embellishments, so I layered the ribbon with the pin. I know it's not very original, but I have embellishment issues. I'm a clean and simple stamper to the core and it's near impossible for me to make an elaborate card.
I'm not sure if the scalloped piece is more mustard but it's the closest match I had. I also have no teal cardstock and wouldn't have been able to participate if I had not had picked up that teal ribbon to go with the October Afternoon dsp. I had just enough So saffron to make the ribbon tag. Are you sick of the MS scallop edge punch? I'm not, I love it!
Really cute card, love the patterned paper!

ReplyDeleteI love the patterned paper you used. Is it by Stampin' Up? The pin accent with the bow is very cute!
