Mother's Day card...

I love the Clean Vintage look. I love the vintage look period but can't seem to pull it off. My card making/scrapbooking style has always ran towards the clean, uncluttered look. I channeled Betsy Veldman for this card. Betsy uses the most amazing color schemes and her cards always look soft and vintage without being too cluttered. My card is much "cleaner" than anything Betsy would make, but I like it. I used a base of PTI white, added strips of PTI aqua mist and a strip of PTI pattern paper (can't remember the name--shame on me!) added some faux stitching and then distressed it with PTI vintage cream ink and a sponge dauber.

I used a Hibiscus Burst button that Angela gave me and some of the bitty dot ribbon. The main image is from the PTI set First Fruits. First Fruits is typically a Fall set, but I'm trying to find ways to use it all year round. I sewed the button to the ribbon and attached it with a dimensional so the sentiment part would pop up a bit.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you don't mind all the posts. I have periods where I'm a stamping maniac and periods where I just sit and stare at my stuff.
