The first 2 projects are gift boxes using the Rounded Wrap Up template from PTI. It was super easy to put this box together and even simpler to decorate using a Digiment. No stamping involved! I know we all love to stamp, but sometimes it's great to put a little something simple together without dragging all our stuff out. I cut the round "flowers" with my Wishblade but they could easily be done by hand. Just draw some irregular shaped circles in different sizes, cut them out, distress them and layer!
I added a little more detail to this box and printed the Digiment a bit smaller. That's the beauty of digital sentiments, you can re-size to suit your project needs. I actually pulled out the sewing machine for this one and used a mini clothes pin for the closure instead of the usual ribbon. I'm really into mini clothes pins these days and distressing the edges of cardstock with scissors.
Last, but not least, a quick graduation card. I only need Graduation cards every now and then and don't need a stamp set devoted to the occasion. That's why I was so tickled to see some Graduation Digiments in this release. I stamped a diploma ($1 stamp) in gray ink just to add a little something extra but the sentiment is so lovely it really needs no further adorment. Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to check out the other Digiment ladies (check out my sidebar) today and see what they have to show you!
Wowsers!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou rocked this challenge Annie!!!!!

ReplyDeleteHappy Release Day!!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, Annie! Love your projects! Great use of the digiments - just perfect for a gift box. Every now and then it nice to make a simple no hassle gift but something that packs a lot of punch! I often find free templates (and have my Cricut to make boxes)on the net so I have yet to purchase Lauren's templates - they are really neat!
You are right about Grad sentiments...I asked Michelle to come up with a few since my hubby is a teacher and we have gotten an invite to over 10 of them so far and still counting (yikes)...so having these digiments on hand makes for a great and super easy grad card.
Great work! I am just in awe with the wonderful creations.
Hugs, Alma =)
great projects, love the boxes, you used some pretty colors on these.
ReplyDeleteThese boxes are so cute!! What a clever way to use the mini clothespin instead of ribbon. It's so sweet! Beautiful work! Your card is incredible as well!

ReplyDeleteI love those little boxes...and the addition of the clothes pin - where does one get mini clothes pins? I bought a pack of the normal ones that I have used on tags...but I want some of these to use here - very cute - - and thanks for that last minute grad card...love the color combo on that one for sure!

ReplyDeleteHi, Annie, I enjoy your work and thought I'd pass on a blog award (if you're interested). I understand that these things are often considered a pain, so I won't be upset if you pass on the offer! It's just my way of expressing my thanks and trying to direct a little traffic to your blog. Have a good day!
