Sheetload of Cards May Sketch

Happy Friday! May's sketch is up at Sheetload of Cards and it's another good one! They give you measurements so it makes it extra easy. The placement of the sentiment wasn't working for me with this flower focal point so I borrowed an element from Becky Carafa's sample and used the SU word window punch and put my sentiment in a different spot. I went with my current favorite color combo of Summer Sunrise, Hibiscus Burst and Aqua mist to make this bright, cheery card. I faux stitched in black ink and distressed the card a bit with some Vintage Cream ink.

I want to give a shout out to my blog buddy, and fellow Digiments DT member, Jennifer Scull, for giving me this blog award. I appreciate it so much! I'm going to pass this award onto some of my buds, so...

Angela (the one who got me started in all this stamping stuff--I don't know whether to thank you or kill you! LOL)
Harriet (My fellow Norris resident)
Wanda (way up there in Wyoming!)
Amy (who's MIA these days...get to stampin' girl, I miss you!)
Alyssa (who is just awesome all around)

I wanted you ladies to know I appreciate you and love reading your blogs. If you want to put this award on your blog, that's great! If not, it's cool. I'll still love ya!

I'm going to take a couple of days off from creating so I can clean up my craft room. It's extremely messy. It's so messy that I lost a sentiment I had ready for a card and it showed up 2 days later stuck to the bottom of my foot! I started straightening up last night but was struck with inspiration for the card I'm posting today. Ugh, wish me luck!

Supplies used: Papertrey Ink--summer sunrise, hibiscus burst, black and white cardstock. Lemon tart and aqua mist bitty dot pattern paper. Friends til the end stamp set. Button and hibiscus bitty dot ribbon. True black and Vintage cream ink. SU summer sun ink, circle punch, word window punch and Warm Words stamp set. The Paper Studio Faux stitching stamp set. Rectangle scallop nestabilities.

  8. Glad I could help you out with the sentiment placement, lol! This is gorgeous, so bright and cheerful! Good luck with your cleanup. My space stays pretty neat, except I am horrible about filing my scraps so the paper always seems to overtake everything!
