I now know how Bella feels in New Moon. My local Starbucks has left me and there's a gaping hole in my chest that aches in response. As I drove by today, the sign was being taken down and I had to wrap my arm around my middle to keep myself together. They can take down every trace that the Clinton Starbucks ever existed, but they can't take away my memories. I'll remember the Clinton Starbucks even if there are no outward signs that it ever existed. I will not claw at my Espresso maker or throw Espresso Roast in my resentment. I will keep my cool and drive 2 exits down I-75 to Mary Ann's Starbucks even though it's a booger to get in and out of due to the heavy traffic.
Ok, here's my card I'm taking to the Shoebox Swap this week. I just got this PTI set, Everyday Button Bits, and I love it already. I found an awesome old newspaper scan on Alma's blog. I refer to her as Awesome Alma because her work is awesome.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Annie! If you moved here, you could have a Starbucks everywhere you go - one in each grocery store, one on the corner and the opposite corner (etc)!

ReplyDeleteI LOVE this card. I am falling in love with this set. I love that you used patterned paper in place of the buttons. I love buttons, too, but I love that this makes the set even more versatile. The blue background is gorgeous, and I really like how you did the sentiment wavy like that.
