Sketch Girl 16: The Character Cafe

It's that time of the month again ladies! Sorry, I could not resist the pun and yes, I know I'm a dork.

SG16 is sponsored by The Character Cafe and they are offering a $10 shopping spree in the store to the lucky winner of this challenge.

I've been wanting to pull out this set again from Wplus9 Design Studio and decided to use it with this sketch.  I stamped the notes in PTI Fresh Snow on to Orange Zest cardstock, matted on with Hawaiian Shores and added black felt circles and did some zig zag stitching with pink thread.  The sentiment was stamped on a Nestie tag and sponged with Versamagic in Wheat.
Let me say something about felt...I didn't get the big fuss over felt.  I liked it but didn't think it was all that until I cut a piece with a nestabilitie die and almost fainted at how awesome it was! LOL  Must.have.more.felt.

Please check out the design team, everyone does such a good job with these sketches!

 Guest Designer, Teresa Kline

(Eve, Alyssa and Katie are sitting this sketch out)

Thanks for stopping by!

  15. Oh, what a cool card, Leigh Ann! I love how you created the Nestie frame and popped it up like that. You are so good at thinking outside the box! Way to be an enabler with the felt. I was doing fine without it, and then you have to talk about how awesome it is LOL... Have a great weekend, girl!

  23. Well, I can't sew, and the thought of touching felt makes me queasy. So I'll leave the fun stuff like that to you. Wish I could do both, because cards like this are awesome! And I LOVE how you did the frame over top of the separated panels. Great idea. And a fun color combo, too.
