Be Mine

Today the Perfect Presentation design team is showcasing the latest template called Be Mine (available in PDF, SVG, GSD).  I decided to go with a non-Valentine project to show this box can be used for other occasions.  Hearts and flowers are cool all year, right?!
I took some liberties with the handle.  It's actually a solid heart but I changed it up a bit by hollowing it out.

The flower was cut with my Cricut using the Plantin School Book cartridge.  I just cut the flower from the cartridge in 4 different sizes, ran them through the paper crimper, edged with a little cream ink and layered them to form the flower.  The leaves are hand cut  and the stem is the ric rac die from Papertrey Ink.I finished off the handle with some silk ribbon and a simple tag. The box stays closed on it's own so the ribbon is simply a decorative addition.

Leave a comment for a chance to win a template of your choice from Perfect Presentation.  A random commenter from each DT member's blog will win!

  24. Very Stunning. I love the heart handle. Also I am inspired by your suggestion of running the flower through the crimmper to texturize it.
