Blue Elephant

This card came about from my desire to use the turquoise patterned paper from the Bali Breeze pack along with black cardstock. I decided to use the elephant image from the Happy Heart Day stamp set. I used the flip side of the patterned paper to color the elephant body, whipped out my new Wal-mart ribbon and finished it off with a studded photo corner. Did you notice my pretty knot? I wish I could say that I made it that way on purpose. *sigh*

Do you have a hard time parting with your cards? I have a few friends that TRULY appreciate a handmade card and a few who don't care. Awhile back, my sister forgot to get a card for my mother, so I gave her a card from my stash. She messed up when she was writing on the inside and *gasp* RIPPED UP MY CARD AND THREW IT AWAY. She asked for another so she could start over. She would not have done that if she had paid $4 for that card but since it was homemade it was worthless in her eyes. My cards mean something to me even if they are ugly and I've become like the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld. If I feel like someone would not appreciate my work, then... No card for you!
