Some Valentine projects

This first project is for my 8yo daughter and it's decorated how she wanted it. I cut the Hey Cupcake template with my cricut and cut a window that extended to the side panel. This holds the large Hershey Kiss perfectly. I had not planned on using this particular box for my daughter's project but she wanted it with  Heart Fairy Daisy on it, so she got it. She wants it now but she can't have it until V Day.  I haven't made my youngest daughter anything yet.  I'm lazy.

I cut the mat around  Heart Fairy Daisy using my cricut which is another bonus about digi images.  I auto traced the digi image in SCAL and got rid of everything but the outline and then made a shadow of it and voila! I had a perfect mat.  I didn't plan on having a mat behind the fairy, but I did such a horrible job cutting her out I figured I needed to hide that somehow so I tried hand cutting a mat and, yeah, I screwed that up too!

Here's a pic of the full size Hey Cupcake template next to a scaled down version.  I scaled down to 75% of the original size and was able to cut both pieces on 1 sheet of cardstock.  It's so cute!  I haven't finished decorating this one yet.  Both boxes use cardstock and pattern paper from Papertrey Ink.

This next project is a CASE of a project Michelle Wooderson showed on her blog a couple of weeks ago.  I decided to make some for my stamping group swap.  I used the scraps from that project to make the card below it. The text pattern paper is the flip side of the blue paper on the bag project and is from Bo Bunny.

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!
