Shabby Balloon

This is one of the 2 hot air balloon cards I made for the recent Paper Crafts call and since I’m showing it to you  that means it didn’t get picked up.  I'm entering this card in the Offset Scallop Gallop Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.
I made a template for this card and then layered scallop strips across it and then trimmed around the edges with scissors.  I added twine to mimic the ropes that attach the basket to the balloon and edged the whole thing in Versamagic ink in Wheat.
Shabby Balloon
I love October Afternoon paper and can’t recall which pack I pulled from…it’s either Thrift Shop or Fly a Kite...I have it written down somewhere.  I also used the butterfly die from Papertrey Ink and stamped the basket with my Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain stamp.
Here’s the template for you and if it’s uneven, just trim it with scissors:
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Monday!

  12. IMHO I think they have their submissions in one huge box and then they just pull them out at random...some of the cards picked you just go?? "are you kidding me"...and then to see these beauties not picked??? now I'm even more convinced that it's the "lucky draw"... your cards are truly creative and amazing!!!
