Here’s the other hot air balloon card I submitted that didn’t make the cut. I don’t submit to every call and this call I only submitted 3 things and none were taken. I just didn’t have time or mental energy to crank out a bunch of submissions.
I pulled out my old Creative Memories wavy cutter to cut the wavy strips. I wanted to give the illusion of movement —like the balloon was being moved by wind. I really like how this card turned out and it looks much better in person. I used more October Afternoon pattern paper and my Up, Up and Away stamp set and cloud dies from Papertrey Ink.
I’ve added links on my sidebar to some of the free templates I have offered in the past. I’m not sure if that’s all of them, but I’ll add to it if I find more.
See you tomorrow for Wild Flower Wednesday!
Annie
This is so cute, love the clouds!
ReplyDeleteThey're idiots for not taking this! I love this card - the motion is very apparent and my favorite thing about it!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I love October Afternoon. I love this card too. So out of the box and edgy but still soft & pretty.
ReplyDeleteWow...this is lovely. I love the "movement" of the balloons. It's just great!

ReplyDeleteVery cute, Love the text on the clouds, Sorry to hear nothing got picked up this time. I can understand not wanting to do more than 3 you should keep trying though.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, this is soooo creative, and I can't believe it wasn't picked up! I just don't make cards like this, and will probably never ever be published:)
