Birthday cards

I've never loved purple but I'm really drawn to it these days.  Especially this delicious lavender moon ribbon from Papertrey Ink.  This card is so much prettier in person--my camera isn't working properly so I'm using my 9yo daughter's camera and it does ok, but not as well as my camera.

I wanted to do one of those cool frames with a black pen and ruler but I can't pull that look off, my hands aren't steady enough, so I made a frame out of cardstock using my square nestabilities.

Lawn Fawn is having a little contest and I thought I'd attempt to get my mojo back by entering a card or two.  I plan to make more with this set to enter.  Check out the details here as they only want certain stamp sets used and the hard part is NO pattern paper.  Yikes.

Have a wonderful day!

Annie

Supplies:  Stamp set is Bake me a Cake from Lawn Fawn, cardstock is from Papertrey Ink and SU, Copic markers, Twine from The Twinery.

  1. Cute cards! Totally love the idea to use a Nestie to make the 'Framed' outlines.

  8. Your cards are AWESOME, Leigh Ann!! :o) I love how you added the glittery touches to both, and that cardstock frame you made is great -- more fun than a black-pen-and-ruler frame, if you ask me! :o)

  11. Great job on both of them. I especially like the first one. I don't have any of that purple ribbon but you are making me want some now.
