A few things...

First, here's breakfast. We have family in from Ohio and I whipped up a homemade version of Cinnabon Cinnamon buns last night and popped them in the fridge to be baked this morning. This is the first time I have made them the night before and I was worried they wouldn't turn out right, but they did. I love the feel of dough and this dough was so soft. I would marry it if I could.

Anyway, I stamped on some tiles this weekend. My first time and I haven't sealed them yet--I have to make a trip to the store first. We have friends that are getting married in 2 weeks and I made them a set of coasters as part of their gift. The coasters look better in person. The blue isn't photographing all that well.

I also pulled out the SU chipboard clipboard I've had for months and decided to do something very simple with it. I am going to put magnets on the back of it so it can hand on the refrigerator.

Thanks for stopping by! I am off to the bookstore to get Acheron by Sherilynn Kenyon. I've been waiting for this book!

  1. Oh, I love it! How'd you do the tile? Did you just buy some tiles from Home Depot? And what do you seal it with? I'm assuming you need to use a Staz-On ink for the stamping.

LOVE the clipboard too. I think I may have to CASE it!

Oh, and I love Sherilyn Kenyon too!!

So glad I found your blog.

  2. Oh, thank you! I used Black stazon and Brilliance ink for the tile. My husband picked up a box of 4x4 ceramic tiles (unsealed, rustic looking kind) at Home Depot for about $9. I think there are 9 tiles in the box.

To seal,I bought a spray can of Clear Acrylic Gloss Coating from Hobby Lobby. The brand is Tree House Studio and it says it creates a permanent, water-resistant finish. Make sure your ink is thoroughly dried before sealing.
